Order Cancellation
Your prints order may be cancelled and a refund issued as long as your order has not gone into production. Production times vary and can commence anywhere from an hour after receiving your order to several days. Other product orders may be cancelled if it has not yet been sent to the post office or UPS. This does NOT apply to commissioned works, once a commission deposit has been made it is not refundable if the artist has started the piece. If you must cancel your order please contact immediately.
Specialty/Custom Work Purchases
If your purchase includes a personalized/specialty item or commission, further terms as stated below apply.

1. Project Information
Artwork will be created to reflect the subject supplied by the client, which will be discussed prior to studio time. All artwork will be done to client specifications and use client-provided references. The artwork may supplement other references where necessary. Any custom graphics/references obtained from image houses will be paid for by the client.
2. Reference Material Liability
As outlined above, the client will be responsible for the reference material used by the artist. The client accepts all responsibility and possible liability for use of these materials. Upon start, the client agrees that all appropriate ownership/permissions to use the images/material has been obtained by the client, prior to the beginning of the project.
3. Price/Payment Terms
The project price is based upon a negotiated amount for the entire project, consisting of the (a) Artist Fee, (b) Finishing cost (determined by size and medium), and (c) Shipping costs (quoted by address/preferences of client).
The price quote does not include the combined Provincial (PST 6%) and Government (GST 5%) sales tax required to be charged to the client and claimed by the artist. This tax will not be applied to non-Canadian residents. Additionally if you choose PayPal as your form of payment, there is an added service charge on the total payment.
4. Final Payment Terms
An itemized invoice will be provided to the client after project completion, before the final work(s) are given to client. A deposit of 50% may be required to commence work. Final payment is required when the work is complete. E-transfer, PayPal, and cash are accepted. Written checks will need to clear before the final files/project(s) are sent.
5. Revisions
The project price quoted does not include revisions. If revisions are necessary and agreed upon, the artist will quote an additional cost. A commission is subject to the artist’s interpretation. The artist’s style should be seriously considered and accepted before a commission request is made.
6. Ownership of Artwork
Lauren Daae/Little Doe Design retains ownership of all artwork or parts contained therein, whether preliminary or final. Upon full payment, the client shall obtain ownership of their single artwork to display as they see fit. Lauren Daae retains the right to use the completed project and any preliminary designs for the purpose of competitions, future publications, educational purposes, marketing materials, sales and portfolio. Where the artists deems applicable, the client will be given any necessary credit for usage of the project elements. In no circumstance is the client authorized to reproduce (in part or in full) the project without the express written consent of the artist. The image created will be an original, unique piece. No reproductions are allowed as Artist holds copyright, even if the references are provided from personal photos.
7. Production Schedule/Delivery of Project
The client will assume any shipping or insurance costs related to the project. Any alteration or deviation from the above specifications involving extra costs will be executed only upon approval with the client. The artist shall not incur any liability or penalty for delays in the completion of the project due to actions or negligence of client, unusual transportation delays, unforeseen illness, or external forces beyond the control of the artist. If such event(s) occur, it shall entitle the artist to extend the completion/delivery date, by the time equivalent to the period of such delay.
8. Third-Party Shipping
In the event any material necessary for the production of the project must be shipped to a third party for additional processing, the artist will incur no liability for losses incurred in transit, or due to the delay of the shipper of the third party.
9. Claims Period
Claims for defects, damages and/or shortages must be made by the client in writing within a period of ten (10) days after delivery of all or any part of the order. Failure to make such claim within the stated period shall constitute irrevocable acceptance and an admission that they fully comply with terms, conditions and specifications.
10. Proofing of Final Project
The artist shall make every effort to ensure the final artwork is satisfactory to the client. It is agreed that if the client wishes to see the artwork before shipping, they will indicate as such before the project is completed. After the final product has been committed to print or posted in view of the public, the artist will not be held liable for any liability due to copyrights or other legal responsibilities.
11. Cancellation
In the event of cancellation of the project, ownership of all copyrights and the original artwork shall be retained by Little Doe Design (Lauren Daae), and a fee for work completed, based on the contract price and expenses already incurred, shall be paid by the client.
12. Confidentiality
All correspondence and documents provided will be treated as confidential between the client and the artist, unless consent has been granted by both parties involved.
Shipping
We advise that you provide a physical address to receive your order, rather than a PO Box, as UPS requires physical addresses to deliver. We ship via Canada Post, or UPS. Shipping is available to most countries and must be quoted on a case by case basis. A tracking number will be provided by request to give you the ability to track your order.

Local pick-up is available, simply choose this as an option at checkout.

Shipping times vary greatly depending on your location and the current status of the shippers. Once shipped you will receive a tracking number and the majority of orders will arrive within 5 business days.
All items are carefully packaged to prevent damage during transit and shipped insured. However, if damage or loss does occur please contact us immediately and take pictures of the damage to the packaging as well as the damage to your print. DO NOT THROW OUT any damaged materials until advised by us as the shipper may request an inspection. If a damage claim has been approved we will send out a replacement piece if possible, or discuss other options. No cash refunds will be given for damaged shipments.

If you need your order faster than an average turnaround time then please contact to discuss your needs. We are usually able to accommodate special requests however expedited orders do incur an additional charge, which will be quoted.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. The personal information you enter on the Merchant Link Pages such as credit card, name, phone number, email and mailing address, are protected by Stripe/Paypal.
This site may request personally identifiable data from you (“personal information”), which may include your email address, and other personal information such as your address, telephone number, etc., and in the case of online shopping, credit card number and expiration date.
Lauren Daae will not use your private information except in connection with your use of this website and for the development of the website so that we can provide you with the highest quality of services. We may use your email address to send you information concerning the organization and this website, unless you advise us that you do not wish to receive this information.
